What it does

Every tool in Nimble Links produces a short link. That short link can be used as the destination of another tool. This means you can stack tools together — using the output of one as the input to another — to build multi-step redirect logic.

Example: geo-targeting with A/B testing

Redirect by Countrynimble.li/campaign
🇺🇸 United States →
Redirect Randomly
example.com/landing-a
example.com/landing-b
🇬🇧 United Kingdom →example.co.uk/landing
🌍 Everyone else →example.com/global

How it works

When you create a link with any tool, you get a short URL like nimble.li/a1b2c3. That URL is just a destination — you can paste it into any other tool's destination field. When someone clicks the outer link, they're redirected to the inner link, which then applies its own logic.

There's nothing special to configure. You create links as usual and connect them by using one link's URL as another's destination.

Examples

Geo-targeting with A/B testing

Create a Redirect Randomly link with two landing page variations. Then use that link as the US destination in a Redirect by Country link. US visitors get randomly split between two pages. Everyone else goes to a single default page.

Password-protected regional content

Create a Redirect by Country link that routes users to different localized pages. Then wrap the whole thing in a Password-Protected Link. Visitors need the password first, then get routed to the right regional page.

Device-aware deep linking

Create a Redirect by Device link where mobile users get an app:// deep link and desktop users get a web URL. Use that link as a destination inside a Redirect by Country link to handle both geography and device in one flow.

Time-limited campaigns

Create the link you want to share, then use it as one of the destinations in a Redirect by Date & Time link. Before the campaign starts, visitors see a "coming soon" page. During the campaign, they reach the actual content. After it ends, they see an archive page.

Analytics across the chain

Each link in a stack tracks clicks independently. If someone clicks a Redirect by Country link that sends them to a Redirect Randomly link, both links record a click in their own analytics. This gives you visibility into every step of the chain.

Things to keep in mind

  • Each hop counts as a click. Every link in the chain records a click, and each click counts toward your plan's click quota. Two stacked tools means two clicks per visitor.
  • Parameter forwarding passes through. If the outer link has parameter forwarding enabled, the parameters are appended to the next link in the chain. Enable it on each link in the stack if you want parameters to reach the final destination.

To try it, create a link with any tool, copy its URL, and use it as the destination in another tool.
