FAQ

How do I redirect users based on a URL query parameter?

To start, add a row for each parameter and value pair you want to route on. For example, you might route visitors with ?source=twitter to one URL and ?source=facebook to another. Don't forget to add a fallback destination; this is used when a visitor arrives without a matching parameter.

Once you click the "Create Link" button, we'll generate a short link you can share on any channel — emails, ads, QR codes, or your website.

As your users start clicking on the short link, they will be automatically redirected based on the query parameters present in the URL.

What is the fallback URL?

The fallback URL is where visitors go when the URL they arrived from doesn't carry any of the parameter and value pairs you configured — or carries none at all.

Your fallback URL may be the same as any of your other URLs or a completely different one.

What happens if I exhaust my click limit?

Once the limit is reached, clicks on your links will be redirected to a page similar to this example.

Paid plans have higher limits. Once the limit is reached on a paid account, all links on that account will redirect to a page similar to this example, without our branding.

Do I need to create an account?

Creating your first few links does not require an account. However, having an account makes it possible for you to return to the site and manage the links you created before.

Links you create as a guest will continue to work as configured until they reach their 100 clicks limit. However, if you return to the site in the future, they will not show up on your dashboard and you will not be able to edit them.

By logging in or creating a new account, you can continue managing your links anytime you return.

Will you ever sell my data?

No, we've modeled our business based on subscriptions, so that its sustenance relies on YOU, our customers.
