Do you scan link destinations for malware or spam?

Yes. When a link is created, we automatically scan its destination for malware, phishing, and spam. We also re-scan when the destination is updated, so the protection stays current after the initial creation. This process runs in the background and doesn't slow down link creation.

In addition to automated scans, some links are reviewed manually by our team. Links that are flagged for malware, spam, or violation of our terms of use may be suspended to protect visitors. Most legitimate links pass without issue — if a link is flagged incorrectly, contact us and we'll take another look.
